Visit to Dallas's brand new Perot Museum of Nature and Science for MEANT
kids. Inspiring curiosity in all ages and boasting as a living science lesson, this
new Museum opened its doors to the public on December 1, 2012. Stimulate curiosity
in the revolutionary Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Five floors house 11 permanent
exhibit halls containing state-of-the-art video and 3D computer animation with thrilling,
life-like simulations where visitors can exercise their brains through hands-on
activities, interactive kiosks and educational games. The extraordinary building
and outdoor space serves as a living science lesson, offering provocative illustrations
of engineering, technology and conservation.

Math Olympiad – 2012 |
Date: Saturday October 13th 2012, 10.00AM to 12.30PM

7th Annual MATH OLYMPIAD, a competition in mathematics to encourage young America
to learn Mathematics and Engineering and promote mathematics skills among students.
This annual event is open for students of DFW Metroplex from 5th through 10th grades.
Any student currently enrolled in 2012-2013 school year will be eligible to enroll
in the competition. Contestants must be present at the venue by 10:00 AM on the

6th Annual Math Olympiad for Grades 5/6, 7/8, 9/10

We are extremely happy to announce that the 6th Annual Math Olympiad held at UTDallas
on Nov 12, 2011 was a huge success. We had a turnout of around 175 contestants from
over 10 Independent School Districts for Scholarships totalling $3000. This was
the biggest Math Olympiad done ever by MEANT as well as by any other organization
in DFW in the past 10 years.
At this time, we would like to thank all the BOD/committee members and volunteers
of MEANT who helped us relentlessly with this event. Our Sincere thanks to management
of UT Dallas, IEEE, the management of FunAsia Media, the various Math Coaching schools
in the DFW metroplex, all schools and participating ISDs, and every one who spread
the word about this event.
We have got a lot of appreciation from parents of participants as well as schools
and would like to share our gratitude to all of you who made this a proud event
of MEANT.

Meant Annual Picnic
|
Our 14th annual picnic at Frisco Commons Park (Pavillion # 2) on Saturday,
April 30 was a grand success. We had 103 people attend the picnic, the largest attendance
of all MEANT picnics, so far. MEANT would like to thank you all for participating
in the picnic and making it a fun event. Special thanks to all who attendees who
brought in canned food for the food drive and gave donations for food purchase to
North Texas Food Bank.

MEANT Camping on Nov 5/6, 2011
|
MEANT Camping at GrandPappy Point Marina, Denison, TX was a huge success with over
125 people attending the event in pleasant weather. We had a lot of activities including
campfire till early morning. There was a great variety of food and a lot of games
to pump up the spirits.

MEANTFest 2011 on October 22, 2011
|
We had a great turnout of over 200 people. MEANT would like to thank all its members
and families, our guests, all participants, and their parents and everyone who supported
us. We would also like to thank you for your generosity towards the scholarship
fund.

Junior Science Club Activity @ Legoland Discovery Center
|
The Third Junior Science Club Activity of 2011 was held at Lego Land Discovery Center
in Grapevine Mills on September 25,2011. This was an interesting fun and learning
event.

Third Entertainment Night
|
The Third Entertainment Nite of 2011 was held on August 6th at Rajeev and Roshni's
residence. This was yet another entertainment night with a great participation of
around 100 people. The evening was enjoyed with melodious music and sumptuous food.

Kids Summer Bash
|
The Kids Summer Bash was held on July 31st at the Interskate Roller Skate Rink in
Lewisville. More than 20 kids between the age of 3 to 15 participated in the event.
It was the nice indoor activity for the kids as it kept them moving on the rollers
with the music in the background and a nice venue to hang out with their friends.

2nd National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering (NCETE 2011) was held
on April 2,2011
|

Thanks to all those who participated in Envision 2020 and making it a great success.
We had a turn out of attendees above planned limits.
The companies that participated in the Career Fair were very happy with the quality
